Juline Adhiambo Olonde

AGE  19 years  ADDRESS  Box 47166-00100 Nairobi, Kenya  LOCATION  Kariobangi North  FATHER  Festus Olonde Mbori  MOTHER  Mary Akinyi Olonde  SIBLINGS  Juline is the only child of the couple.  HISTORICAL BACKGROUND                 After she completed her primary education in 2002, Juline parents were unable to pay for her secondary education despite her passing her class 8 examination. She thus joined other young children desperately in search of menial jobs. She ended up as a house girl in Nairobi for a meager salary of Kshs. 1000 per month. After six months, an uncle whom she was staying with approached the Undugu Society for assistance to enable her join a hairdressing training. After an assessment, Juline was sponsored for a six month course at Pinkie College of Hairdressing and Beauty in 2004.  CURRENT STATUS Juline completed her course in June 2004 after which she worked for a number of employers before she ventured on her own to start Julize College of Hairdressing and Salon. She currently handles about 12 trainees per six month course.  COMMENTS FROM JULINE She is very grateful to Undugu and is willing to assist other needy children at her salon. For her the sky is the limit.
