WHO WE ARE
Undugu society of Kenya (USK) is a non- governmental organization that works towards the empowerment of children living and working on the streets, vulnerable youths and marginalized rural and urban communities.

USK being one of the oldest development organization in Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on street children and rehabilitation and community empowerment, was founded by the late Fr. Arnold Grol, a Dutch priest, back in 1973.

The organization mission is to contribute to the socio-economic empowerment of street children, vulnerable youth and marginalized poor urban and rural communities through lobbying, advocacy, capacity building, access to education and training, creation of linkages aimed at reducing poverty for the attainment of decent livelihoods.

Over the years, Undugu has continued to be dynamic in its programmes, geographical coverage, i.e. National coverage, (Nairobi, Western and Eastern parts of Kenya) and management institutions.
Program me interventions are both curative and preventive. Preventive activities aim at providing youth and children with education and training as well as economic empowerment to marginalized families and communities so as to prevent children and youth from resorting to street life, child labor and better the lives of target groups
